ABOUT CHRIS
My work is centered on helping people & communities cultivate healthier, more courageous, & more hopeful ways of being human.
"... WHEN I RUN, I FEEL GOD'S PLEASURE."
-ERIC LIDDELLChris is a pastor, church planter, teacher, & leadership coach whose work focuses on cultivating healthier leaders, more humane institutions, & hopeful communities.
With a doctorate exploring the relationship between theology, psychology, & culture, he cares deeply about helping people navigate leadership, vocation, burnout, organizational change, & spiritual depth.
His work is shaped by a belief that the way of Jesus calls us towards Earth rather than Empire - towards neighborliness, generosity, beauty, reconciliation, & human flourishing.
Chris is also a nationally ranked US Masters swimmer & lifelong (amateur) endurance athlete. The discipline of training, patience, & practice deeply influences the way he approaches pastoring, coaching, leadership, & formation.
For Chris, athletics & ministry are the same: both are a means of grace providing ways to cultivate attentiveness, endurance, joy, an embodied experience, & a faithful presence in the world.
Chris is married to Holly, an educator, and they have two adult children. They live in Oklahoma City, OK USA.
“My passion for music moved me to start my own non-profit, bringing arts education to communities that lack culturally-centered & relevant arts programming.”
“Chris helped me realize that I had all the components I needed for this endeavor.
The strategies and insight shaped how I fit those pieces together so that others could see my clearest intentions.”
